Manuel Trinidad Pacheco (May 30, 1941-) was president of Laredo State University (1984-1988), University of Houston-Downtown (1988-1991), University of Arizona (1991-1997) and the University of Missouri System (1997-2002).
Pacheco was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado. He received a bachelors degree from New Mexico Highlands University in 1962, a masters in Spanish and a phd in foreign language from Ohio State University in 1962 and 1969 respectively.[1]
Before becoming president at Laredo he was associate dean of the College of Education at the University of Texas-El Paso from 1982 to 1986; executive director for planning at the University of Texas in 1984.[2]
